Know today’s profit.
Not just net margin.
Hisab is one simple system to run your shop — an offline point of sale, inventory that warns you before stock runs out or expires, and the real birr you made today. Built for Ethiopia. Free to start.
- Works offline
- Priced in birr
- Amharic & English
Most shops in Ethiopia still run on paper, a calculator, or memory.
Hisab replaces all three — and it doesn’t need the internet to work.
You can’t fix what you can’t see.
Stock tracked by memory — so theft and expired goods quietly eat the profit.
No idea which products actually make money, and which just sit there.
Foreign software is priced in dollars, built for foreign tax, and dies without internet.
Tax records and end-of-day totals are a guess, pieced together by hand.
Sell to people, supply the shops, or bring it in.
Hisab runs all three on the same engine — it just switches on the right tools the moment you pick your type.

A pharmacy, grocery, hardware shop, florist, a wholesaler — or an importer. Hisab switches on the right tools and staff roles for that kind of business. No setup wizard marathon.
Add your products & sell
Scan a barcode or tap a product. Sales work offline and feel instant. Stock drops automatically as you sell.
See where the money is
Open the dashboard to today’s profit, your best and worst sellers, dead stock, and what’s about to expire.
Everything a shop actually needs — done properly.
Not a thin app with a long feature list. Each piece is a real, working system.
Ring up sales. Internet optional.
Every sale writes to the till first, so checkout is instant — scan the basket, take payment, done. When the connection returns, it syncs on its own and nothing is ever lost.
- Scan a barcode or tap a product
- Cash, Telebirr, or card
- Out-of-stock items are blocked, never oversold
Know what’s on the shelf — and what’s costing you.
Stock moves with every sale and delivery, so counts stay honest without counting. Hisab flags what to reorder, what’s about to expire, and what’s just sitting there tying up cash.
- Low-stock & reorder alerts
- Expiry in 30 / 60 / 90 days
- Dead-stock detection
Today’s profit — and the full books behind it.
Not “net margin” — the real birr you made today, after cost and expenses. Then the proper statements when you need them: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, exportable and per business.
- Best & worst sellers, dead stock
- P&L · Balance Sheet · Cash Flow
- Honest — even when the number is red
Keep the regulars who keep you open.
A simple record of who buys what, loyalty points to reward them, and a CRM that shows your repeat buyers, top spenders, and who’s quietly slipping away.
- Loyalty points & rewards
- Repeat vs. at-risk customers
- Top spenders at a glance
Built for distributors & importers, too.
Wholesalers supply the shops — so they get price lists and customer tiers, credit terms and limits, quotes that become orders, sales reps, dispatch routes, receivables and backorders. Importers add shipments, customs clearance and landed-cost on top. Same engine, B2B-shaped.
- Price lists, tiers & credit terms
- Quote → order → dispatch
- Receivables & backorders
- Imports: customs & landed cost
Your whole shop, in your pocket.
The native Hisab app is almost here — here’s a real first look. Built to keep selling when the network doesn’t, then sync the second you’re back online. Until it lands in the stores, Hisab runs beautifully in any browser.
- Sells with zero connectionPower cut, dead zone, or the line is just down — checkout still works, instantly.
- Syncs the moment you’re backQueued sales upload on their own. Two tills never clobber each other’s stock.
- Never loses a saleEvery receipt is saved on the device first, with an id that can’t double-charge.

“Say today’s profit, not net margin.”
Hisab is honest about money. It takes what you paid for goods, what you sold them for, and your real expenses — and shows you exactly what you made. No jargon. Owners can tell.
Real profit this month — after cost and every expense. No guesswork, no jargon.
One platform. Dozens of working modules.

Better than paper. Fairer than foreign software.
The honest comparison — your three real options.
Straight answers.
No fine print, no dollar surprises. If something’s not built yet, we say so.
See the demoIs it really free?
Yes. The Starter plan is free for one shop with everything you need to run it — offline POS, inventory, reports, customers, and a storefront. A paid Growth plan for multi-store and advanced features comes later, priced in birr. We earn your trust first.
Does it work without internet?
Yes — the point of sale is offline-first. Every sale writes to the device immediately, so checkout never waits on a connection. When you’re back online, queued sales sync automatically and can’t double-charge.
I’m a wholesaler, not a shop. Does Hisab fit?
It does. Pick one of the nine wholesale types and Hisab switches on B2B tools — price lists and tiers, customer credit and terms, quotes, sales reps, dispatch routes, minimum-order rules, receivables, and backorders.
I import goods — can it handle customs and landed cost?
Yes. Pick one of the six importer types and Hisab adds shipment and customs clearance, landed-cost tracking — duty, freight and fees rolled into true unit cost — letters of credit and supplier management, then the same B2B tools to distribute: price lists, credit, receivables, and dispatch.
What languages does it support?
English and Amharic, side by side. The interface and your data are built to be read by the people who actually run the shop.
Where does my data live, and can I get it out?
Each business is its own sealed database — your data is never mixed with another shop’s. You can export it any time; it’s yours, full stop.
Do I need special hardware?
No. Hisab runs on a phone, tablet, or computer you already have. A barcode scanner, scale, or receipt printer are optional add-ons, not requirements.
Can one person run several businesses?
Yes — one login, many businesses. Run a pharmacy and a florist (or a shop and a wholesale arm) and switch between them. Each keeps its own staff, books, and modules.
